As winner of the 2009, 2010 and 2011 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards for Tourist and Caravan Parks, BIG4 Beacon Resort on the Bellarine Peninsula is proud to be included in Victoria's Tourism Hall of Fame.
Providing fantastic self-contained family accommodation in Queenscliff, first class caravan and camping options and a friendly, welcoming team sets this multi award winning holiday park at the pinnacle of success.
Located at the entrance to Queenscliff, just 90km South of Melbourne with a short walk to the picturesque beaches of Port Phillip Bay, between the Classic Townships of Queenscliff and Pt Lonsdale. Take a moment out of your busy schedule to rediscover the simple life... where one hour is one hour, one day is one day and your week can stretch in to one long luxurious yawn.
As part of our growing success we are commited to move in line with responsible tourism activities. We believe we have an obligation to consider the environment in all of our business decisions. As such we have undertaken initiatives such as the installation of a 48,000 litre rain storage unit; upgrading all accommodation and amenity shower roses to water saving heads; promoting water conservation to guests with posters located throughout the park; redirection of rainwater from the villa rooves to surrounding gardens; selecting appropriate water saving appliances; planting of native plants; commencement of a renewal energy upgrade (installation of solar panels); installation of low-energy lighting; waste reduction initiatives; and a move toward a paperless office (currently sitting at around 80%).
We have also recently become involved in a new initiative called Soap Aid. This organisation collects used soaps from hotels/accommodation and sends them to a plant where they are reprocessed and turned into new, useful bars of soap. These soaps are then sent to countries as a tool for education about hygiene. More information about this program can be found via this link.
